The Zaki Gordon Institute for Independent Filmmaking (ZGI) hosts a film festival every year on Memorial Day weekend. All graduates of ZGI get to screen their films at our annual ZGI Shorts Film Festival and the audience gets to vote! Sedona Arts Center presents a week-long celebration of Sedona's extraordinary beauty as seen through the eyes and talent of thirty of the finest painters in the country. "En Plein Air", a French term that translates to "in the open air", describes paintings that have been created outdoors rather than in a studio. The spectacular red rock scenery and temperate climate of Sedona create the perfect location for plein air painting. Artists will be seen all over town - at trailheads, on the streets, at resorts and other scenic locales in the area.
